Could I Still Be Pregnant Despite Having Brownish Spotting Along With Negative UPT?
I started taking birth control 2 months ago. This month about 2 weeks before my period I started getting pregnancy symptoms such as feeling nauseous (worst occurring in the morning) also feeling tired for absolutely no reason and always feeling like i need a nap. Im also always hungry but as soon as i eat i feel completely nauseous again. Also my breasts have been really sore and tender and swollen. i also got my period 2 days early and it was nothing like my normal periods or like the period i got just a month earlier. it was very light actually started off brown then got pink. was only heavy 2 times and only for a short amount of time and i never had a single clot the entire time. i also took multiple pregnancy tests and got negative outcomes does this mean I m not pregnant? or could i be pregnant and home pregnancy test just aren t working?
It takes about two weeks for a pregnancy test to turn positive. So, if it has been two weeks since unprotected intercourse AND the test is negative, then you are not pregnant. The symptoms you are describing sound very much like cycle related symptoms. Often these symptoms are improved on the pill, but it sounds like this is not the case with you unfortunately. I would recommend that you check a pregnancy test in a week and talk to your doctor about a different pill.
I hope that this helps. Dr. Raichle
